DraftKings Inc. has announced a change to its independent registered public accounting firm. On September 23, 2026, the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors dismissed BDO USA, P.C. as the company's current auditor, effective immediately following the conclusion of the audit for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026, and the filing of the 2026 Annual Report on Form 10-K.
The Company has appointed Deloitte & Touche LLP to serve as the independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2027, and related interim periods. The appointment of Deloitte is subject to the completion of standard client acceptance procedures and the execution of an engagement letter, which was executed on September 25, 2026.
The filing states that BDO’s reports on the Company’s consolidated financial statements for the fiscal years ended December 31, 2024, and December 31, 2025, did not contain any adverse opinion or disclaimer of opinion, nor were they qualified or modified as to uncertainty, audit scope, or accounting principles. Additionally, the Company reports that there were no disagreements with BDO on matters of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure during the fiscal years ended 2024 and 2025, and through the interim period ending September 23, 2026.
Regarding the new auditor, Deloitte, the filing notes that neither the Company nor anyone on its behalf consulted with Deloitte regarding the application of accounting principles to specific transactions or the type of audit opinion that might be rendered during the fiscal years ended 2024 and 2025, or the subsequent interim period through September 23, 2026.
