D-Wave Quantum Inc. has announced the appointment of Bernard Gavgani as an independent Class II director to its Board of Directors, effective September 18, 2026. Mr. Gavgani will serve on the Cybersecurity Committee of the Board and will hold office until the Company's 2027 Annual Meeting of Stockholders or until a successor is duly elected and qualified.
Messrs. Gavgani, age 67, currently serves as Senior Advisor for Technology and Innovation to BNP Paribas Group Executive Management. Prior to this role, he served as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) of BNP Paribas from October 2018 to June 2025. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer for Information Technology and Operations within BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking from 2009 to 2018.
The filing indicates that Mr. Gavgani joins the Board in a personal capacity. He brings experience in global technology strategy, operational transformation, artificial intelligence governance, cybersecurity, and workplace and network modernization. He holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and completed the Advanced Certificate for Executives at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
The Company stated that there are no transactions between Mr. Gavgani and D-Wave that would be reportable under Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K, and there are no arrangements or understandings between Mr. Gavgani and any other persons regarding his selection as a director.
