Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced a leadership transition within its finance department on October 5, 2026. K. Christopher Farkas, the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, informed the company that he will retire effective at calendar year-end. Mr. Farkas will step down from his role as CFO but will remain with the company as Executive Vice President until the Retirement Date to ensure a smooth handover.
Mr. Farkas joined Curtiss-Wright in 2009 and has served as CFO since May 2020. The company noted that the decision by Mr. Farkas is unrelated to the business or financial performance of the company.
In a related move, the Board of Directors has appointed Gary A. Ogilby, the company’s Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller, to serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ogilby will assume the role effective October 6, 2026, while the Board conducts a search for a permanent successor. Mr. Ogilby, age 45, has been with Curtiss-Wright since 2010 and has served as Vice President and Corporate Controller since May 2020.
Lynn Bamford, Chair and Chief Executive Officer, stated that Mr. Farkas has played an important role in the company’s strong financial performance and healthy balance sheet. Mr. Farkas expressed confidence in Mr. Ogilby and the strength of the finance organization, noting that the transition will be seamless.
