Coronado Global Resources Inc. has announced the appointment of Sandeep Deoji as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective November 1, 2026. The appointment was made by the Board of Directors at the recommendation of the Compensation and Nominating Committee. Mr. Deoji will assume the role following his service as the Company’s Interim CFO, a position he has held since August 1, 2026.
Mr. Deoji, aged 42, will continue to serve as the Company’s principal accounting officer in his new capacity. His career history with Coronado includes roles as Vice President, Group Financial Control (July 2022 to July 2026), Group Financial Controller (May 2021 to July 2022), and Manager, Group Financial Reporting (January 2019 to May 2021). Additionally, he served as the Company’s interim principal financial officer and principal accounting officer from January to March 2025. He has also been a Director of Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal Pty Limited since June 2025.
The terms of Mr. Deoji’s appointment are governed by a contract of employment dated October 30, 2026, between Curragh Queensland Mining Pty Ltd., an Australian subsidiary of Coronado, and Mr. Deoji. Under the agreement, he will receive an annual base salary of AU$675,000, which includes Australian statutory defined contribution superannuation contributions. He is also eligible to participate in incentive arrangements offered to senior executives and will be eligible for a bonus under the 2026 short-term incentive program. A portion of this bonus is scheduled for payment in 2027, with the remainder contingent upon the completion of the audit for the Company’s 2027 financial accounts.
The employment agreement stipulates that either party may terminate the relationship with three months' written notice, though the Company may terminate for cause without notice. Mr. Deoji is entitled to redundancy payments under Australian legislation if terminated for redundancy. Furthermore, he is subject to post-termination restrictions that prohibit him from competing with the Company or soliciting its employees and customers for one year following the end of his employment.
