Corcept Therapeutics Incorporated (NASDAQ: CORT) announced on September 23, 2026, that Sean Maduck, the President of the company’s Endocrinology division, plans to retire. Mr. Maduck notified the Board of Directors of his resignation effective October 1, 2026. The company stated that Mr. Maduck did not resign due to any disagreements regarding the company’s operations, financial statements, or policies.

To facilitate a smooth transition, Mr. Maduck will remain with the company as a senior commercial advisor. Additionally, the Company and Mr. Maduck entered into a Consulting Services Agreement dated September 22, 2026. Under this agreement, Mr. Maduck will provide consulting services to the Chief Executive Officer and executive management team for an initial term expiring on September 30, 2027. He will receive a monthly cash fee of $57,000. The agreement allows either party to terminate it with thirty days' prior written notice.

Mr. Maduck’s stock options will continue to vest according to their original vesting schedule during the consulting period. Justin Gunn has been appointed to succeed Mr. Maduck and will assume the role of President of the Endocrinology Division starting October 1. Mr. Gunn will join the Executive Team and report to Joseph K. Belanoff, M.D., the Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Gunn joined Corcept in July 2024 as Vice President of Sales and Commercial Learning for the Oncology division. In that role, he designed and built a new field sales and training organization to support the launch of Lifyorli, a medicine for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer approved in combination with nab-paclitaxel. Prior to joining Corcept, Mr. Gunn spent nearly 18 years at Gilead Sciences, leading commercial sales teams in various therapeutic categories. He also held marketing and sales roles at Merck and Sepracor.
