Chewy, Inc. released its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, which ended on August 2, 2026. The company reported net sales of $3.33 billion for the quarter, representing a 7.3 percent increase compared to the same period in the prior year. Excluding the contributions of SmartPak and Modern Animal, sales grew by 5.7 percent year over year.

On the profitability front, Chewy reported a gross margin of 30.4 percent, consistent with the previous year. Net income for the quarter was $80.5 million, resulting in a net margin of 2.4 percent, which increased by 40 basis points year over year. Basic and diluted earnings per share were both reported at $0.20, an increase of $0.05 and $0.06, respectively, compared to the prior year.

Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was $226.7 million, an increase of $43.4 million year over year, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 6.8 percent, up 90 basis points from the prior year. Adjusted net income was $148.8 million, and adjusted basic and diluted earnings per share were $0.37 and $0.36, respectively.

In a statement, CEO Sumit Singh noted that the sales figure was at the high end of the company's guidance and that the adjusted EBITDA margin exceeded expectations. Singh stated that the company has raised its full-year revenue and profitability outlook due to the durability of its recurring revenue base and continued customer growth.
