The Chemours Company reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2026, filing an -K with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 2, 2026. The company, which operates across Thermal & Specialized Solutions (TSS), Titanium Technologies (TT), and Advanced Performance Materials (APM), announced a significant increase in net income compared to the prior year.
For the third quarter of 2026, Chemours reported net sales of approximately $1.5 billion, a slight increase of about 3% from the same period in 2025. This growth was driven by a 5% increase in pricing, partially offset by a 2% decrease in volumes and a slight currency headwind. The pricing increase was attributed to recent actions in the Titanium Technologies segment and a favorable mix shift toward APM Performance Solutions.
Net income attributable to Chemours for the quarter was $196 million, or $1.29 per diluted share. This represents a substantial increase from the $46 million ($0.31 per diluted share) reported in the prior-year quarter. The current-year earnings included a $150 million receipt related to a PFAS insurance proceeds memorandum of understanding (MOU) executed in connection with a judicial consent order with the State of New Jersey.
On a non-GAAP basis, Adjusted Net Income for the third quarter was $31 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, compared to $26 million in the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was $200 million, up from $189 million in the prior year. The company noted that the increase in Adjusted EBITDA was driven by pricing momentum in TT and a favorable mix shift toward APM Performance Solutions, partially offset by lower TSS volumes and higher costs.
Segment performance varied by business. TSS segment net sales decreased 9% year-over-year to $510 million, driven by lower North American stationary AC aftermarket sales of Opteon refrigerants. TT segment net sales increased 11% to $680 million, supported by a 10% increase in global pricing and volume growth in North America, Latin America, and APAC. APM segment net sales increased 8% to $337 million, with Performance Solutions seeing a 26% increase driven by demand from data center and semiconductor end markets.
Regarding capital allocation, as of September 30, 2026, consolidated gross debt stood at $3.9 billion. The company expects fourth quarter 2026 consolidated net sales to decrease by 5% to 10% sequentially, with Adjusted EBITDA expected to range between $160 million and $185 million.
