CFCRE 2017-C8 Mortgage Trust has filed a Current Report on Form 8-K to announce a change in its special servicer for a specific loan. The filing states that C-IV Asset Management LLC (C-IV AM) will act as the special servicer for the Center West Mortgage Loan. This appointment is made pursuant to the WFCM 2017-RB1 pooling and servicing agreement.

The change is the result of a sale transaction completed on September 1, 2026. As a result of this transaction, C-IV AM assumed all duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of the special servicer under the related servicing agreement.

C-IV AM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of C-IV Capital Partners LLC. The filing notes that key employees from Greystone’s special servicing division have transferred to C-IV AM or its affiliate and are continuing to perform the same duties.

The filing provides background on C-IV AM’s operations and ratings. As of June 30, 2026, C-IV AM was the named special servicer for approximately 60 transactions, representing about 1,928 first-lien mortgage loans with an aggregate principal balance of roughly $20.7 billion. Since its inception in 2002 through June 30, 2026, C-IV AM has resolved or participated in the resolution of 6,017 total assets with an aggregate principal balance of approximately $60.7 billion.

The filing details C-IV AM’s policies and procedures for special servicing, which include strategies for working with borrowers on problem loans. These strategies may involve liquidation of collateral, note sales, discounted payoffs, or borrower negotiations. The filing also includes a table showing the history of C-IV AM’s specially serviced portfolio by approximate unpaid principal balance from December 31, 2023, through June 30, 2026.
