Centrus Energy Corp. announced on September 9, 2026, that it has entered into a definitive multi-year contract with Radiant Industries, Inc. to supply high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU). The agreement is intended to support the deployment of Radiant's Kaleidos microreactors.
Under the terms of the contract, Centrus is scheduled to begin delivering HALEU before the end of the current decade. The filing notes that this deal adds another domestic, U.S.-origin source of HALEU to the market, which is intended to support the commercial scale-up of Radiant's Kaleidos fleet.
The contract includes prepayments from Radiant to Centrus. These funds are designated to support Centrus's domestic commercial enrichment capacity program. The agreement also reinforces the fuel supply chain for Radiant as the company moves toward commercial and national security deployments of its microreactors.
Centrus emphasized that its technology is U.S.-origin and relies on a U.S. manufacturing supply chain. As a result, the enrichment provided to Radiant will be classified as "unobligated," meaning it can be utilized for national security applications. Centrus stated that its AC100 centrifuge design is the only deployment-ready U.S.-origin technology available for unobligated enrichment today.
Radiant is developing transportable microreactors designed for remote locations, data centers, defense applications, and other commercial uses. The company noted that securing the fuel supply chain in parallel with the reactor deployment is a critical step to remove constraints facing advanced nuclear deployment.
