Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. (NASDAQ: CFFN) announced on September 22, 2026, that its Board of Directors has appointed William “Billy” Skrobacz Jr. as President of both the Company and Capitol Federal Savings Bank. The appointment is effective October 1, 2026. Skrobacz will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of both entities, including oversight of commercial operations, support functions, and strategy setting.

John B. Dicus will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Skrobacz, age 35, is the son-in-law of Dicus. He has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Operations Officer since April 2023 and joined the Bank as Chief Strategy Officer in July 2021.

According to the filing, Skrobacz’s new base salary will be $460,000. He has been awarded 22,500 shares of stock, which will vest over a five-year period. Prior to joining Capitol Federal, Skrobacz held regional sales and operations management positions at NuVasive, Inc. for eight years.

In his current role, Skrobacz has led initiatives including the development of a treasury management suite, the addition of commercial and retail credit cards, and the implementation of a new investment platform. He also serves on the Bank’s Asset and Liability, IT Oversight, Trust, Commercial Loan, and Retirement and Benefits Committees.

Sarah Sanders will succeed Skrobacz as Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Operations Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Sanders has over two decades of experience at Capitol Federal, having started as a bank teller and later serving as a fraud investigator and Account Security Manager.
