Boeing Co. (BA) has received an exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding emissions regulations for a specific fleet of aircraft.
The exemption applies to up to 35 Boeing 777F freighters. Under the terms of the exemption, these aircraft are permitted to continue operating until January 1, 2031, despite the 2028 emissions rules.
The exemption was announced on September 16.
