Boeing (BA) shares fell following comments made by company executives during a presentation at a Morgan Stanley conference. The company reported that the testing phase for the 777X program is expected to extend into next year. Additionally, Boeing stated it is still awaiting a fix for the engine seal from GE Aerospace before final certification can be completed.
During the same presentation, the Chief Financial Officer addressed the company's financial outlook. The CFO noted that the ramp-up rates for the 737 and 787 aircraft into the year-end have been slower than anticipated. This slowdown in production has reduced the likelihood that Boeing will reach the upper end of its previously disclosed free cash flow forecast.
