Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun provided an update on the company's production status and certification timeline for its 737 MAX 10 aircraft.
Regarding the 737 MAX family, Calhoun stated that the current supply chain constraint is specifically related to wing production. He noted that this bottleneck is causing the stabilization of output at 47 jets per month to take longer than initially anticipated.
In terms of the 737 MAX 10, the CEO indicated that certification is expected to be achieved 'very shortly.' This follows the earlier certification of the 737 MAX 9, which was grounded in January 2024 following an emergency exit door blowout.
