Boeing Co. (BA) Chief Executive Officer Kelly Ortberg addressed the company's production challenges during a presentation at the Morgan Stanley Industrials Conference. Ortberg stated that the company's plans to increase the production rate of the 787 Dreamliner remain hindered by delays related to its engines.

The current production rate for the 787 is eight units per month. Ortberg indicated that the company is working to resolve these engine-related issues to eventually raise the output to ten units per month.
