Boeing Co. Chief Executive Officer Dave Calhoun addressed the company's production schedules and testing timelines during a recent appearance. Regarding the 777X program, Calhoun stated that some testing activities may extend into the next year. Despite this potential delay in testing, the company maintains its plan to deliver the aircraft in 2027. Calhoun confirmed that there is no change to the initial unit count for the program.
The CEO also highlighted the production rate of the 737 aircraft, noting that the current rate stands at 52 units per month. Calhoun emphasized that this rate requires stability from the wing shop to continue effectively.
