bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: BIAF) announced on September 30, 2026, the execution of a distribution agreement with AvMEDICAL, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The partnership aims to expand government and agency access to bioAffinity’s CyPath Lung test, a noninvasive test for lung cancer.
Under the agreement, AvMEDICAL will utilize its established procurement channels and government contracting expertise to distribute CyPath Lung. The collaboration was debuted at the National Association of Veterans’ Research and Education Foundations (NAVREF) Annual Conference in Arlington, Virginia, where bioAffinity and AvMEDICAL presented the test to more than 300 physicians, healthcare professionals, and VA leaders.
The announcement highlighted the significant health burden of lung cancer within the veteran community. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, approximately 7,700 veterans are diagnosed with lung cancer each year. The CyPath Lung test is designed to complement imaging and clinical assessments by providing actionable information from a noninvasive sputum sample.
During the same week, bioAffinity also presented CyPath Lung to healthcare leaders attending the GO2 for Lung Cancer Centers of Excellence Lung Cancer Screening and Care Conference in San Diego, California. GO2 for Lung Cancer partners with the VA to increase awareness of lung cancer screening and provides resources for implementation.
CyPath Lung uses advanced flow cytometry and proprietary artificial intelligence to identify cell populations in patient sputum. In a published clinical trial of high-risk patients, the test demonstrated 92% sensitivity, 87% specificity, 88% accuracy, and a 99% negative predictive value in detecting lung cancer in patients with small indeterminate lung nodules less than 20 millimeters. The test is marketed as a Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) overseen under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
