Axogen, Inc. (Nasdaq: AXGN) announced on October 1, 2026, that it has completed its acquisition of BioCircuit Technologies, Inc., a privately held medical device company based in Atlanta, Georgia. The transaction adds the NerveTape device to Axogen’s portfolio, which is described as the first FDA-cleared sutureless device for repairing transected nerves.
According to the company, NerveTape represents a new standard of care for surgeons, offering a simpler and faster alternative to traditional microsuturing for nerve repair. Axogen stated that the technology aligns with its mission to make the restoration of peripheral nerve function an expected standard of care.
Michael Dale, President and Chief Executive Officer of Axogen, commented on the completion of the deal, noting that the acquisition is a significant step for the company and its customers.
In terms of financial guidance, Axogen expects BioCircuit to contribute approximately $6 million in revenue during the fourth quarter of 2026 and approximately $34 million in 2027. The company noted that this contribution was not included in its most recently issued full-year 2026 guidance, which anticipated at least 24% revenue growth. Axogen also stated that it continues to expect gross margins to be at least 73% and to be free cash positive for the full year 2026.
BioCircuit was supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health and private investors, including Alsora Capital, GRA Venture Fund, and Michael Masters of Masters Capital Management.
