ArriVent BioPharma, Inc. (Nasdaq: AVBP) announced on October 12, 2026, that it has dosed the first patient in a Phase 1 clinical trial in the United States with ARR-002. The company filed this information as Item 7.01 of its Current Report on Form 8-K.

ARR-002 is a potential first-in-class antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) designed as a tetravalent dual-target agent. It targets both Mucin-16 (MUC16) and sodium-dependent phosphate transport protein 2b (NaPi2b). The therapy is intended for the treatment of ovarian and endometrial cancer. The trial, identified by the identifier NCT07755436, is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics of ARR-002 in patients with advanced or metastatic ovarian or endometrial cancer.

According to the filing, the dual-targeting approach is intended to address a limitation of single-target ADCs in solid tumors, where target expression can be heterogeneous. The company noted that both MUC16 and NaPi2b are highly over-expressed in ovarian and endometrial cancer.

In August 2026, ArriVent entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Shanghai Allist Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. to develop and commercialize ARR-002 in Greater China, which includes mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. ArriVent retains all other rights to the candidate.

ARR-002 is also known as AV-P138-ADC. It features site-specific conjugation to the payload vcMMAE at a drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR) of 4. Preclinical data presented at the AACR in 2026 demonstrated improved activity over bivalent ADCs and suggested that site-specific conjugation enhances stability and safety.

Dr. Stuart Lutzker, Ph.D., President of Research and Development at ArriVent, stated that ARR-002 is the second ADC from the company’s portfolio to enter the clinic. The company noted that this development broadens its clinical pipeline beyond lung and gastrointestinal cancers.
