Apple Inc.'s streaming service, Apple TV+, achieved a record-breaking night at the 2026 Emmy Awards, securing 28 total wins. The comedy-horror series "Widow's Bay" led the charge with 14 victories, marking the second consecutive year Apple won the most accolades for comedy series. Other shows recognized included "The Studio," "Pluribus," "Margo's Got Money Trouble," "Palm Royale," "Slow Horses," and "Mr. Scorsese." In 2025, Apple won 22 Emmy trophies, with "The Studio" taking home 13 of those awards.

The success comes as Apple has raised the price of its streaming service to $14.99 per month, marking the fourth price increase over the last four years. The price hikes coincide with the addition of original content and rights to live sports, including Major League Soccer, Major League Baseball, and Formula 1. Apple SVP of Services and Health Eddy Cue stated that the company's goal has been to create the best shows on television rather than the most.

Despite the accolades, Apple does not break out specific financial performance for its streaming segment. However, the company noted that the streaming platform previously operated at an annual loss before recent price increases and content strategy shifts. The platform remains one of the few major services without a lower-cost, ad-supported tier.

During the awards ceremony, new Apple CEO John Ternus demonstrated the upcoming iPhone Duo foldable smartphone on the red carpet.
