Apple has released details regarding the specifications of its upcoming A20 chip, highlighting significant enhancements in artificial intelligence processing and thermal management. According to the report, the A20 chip will feature two separate Neural Engines, resulting in a total of 32 cores dedicated to on-device machine learning tasks.
The company also provided details on the A20 Pro variant. This chip is reported to incorporate a custom packaging approach similar to that used in the Mac lineup. Apple stated that this packaging method is intended to improve thermal performance. Additionally, the A20 Pro chip is described as having seven GPU cores.
