Anthropic has announced the release of Claude Opus 5.5, a new iteration of its AI model. The company states that the model is now available on all major cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
According to the announcement, Claude Opus 5.5 is designed to perform at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 on most tasks. The filing notes that the cost to run the model is approximately 40 percent less than the previous Opus 5 model.
In addition to the Opus 5.5 release, Anthropic indicated that it plans to launch Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Haiku 5.5 in the coming weeks.
