Anthropic, the creator of the Claude AI chatbot, is reportedly preparing to launch its initial public offering (IPO) in the coming weeks. The company is expected to file its prospectus as early as next week, with the offering potentially valuing the firm at $2 trillion. This would make Anthropic the fastest-growing company to reach that valuation milestone.

According to the Financial Times, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are set to serve as the lead bankers for the deal. Morgan Stanley is expected to secure the "lead left" role, while Goldman Sachs will act as the IPO stabilization agent. While the specific amount Anthropic intends to raise is not disclosed, the report notes that the IPO is likely to net the bankers millions of dollars. This is compared to the SpaceX IPO, where bankers earned over $500 million, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley each receiving $100 million.

Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) is identified as Anthropic's leading investor. The company has committed to investing $6 billion this year, with Amazon Web Services (AWS) serving as the primary training cloud. Amazon's cumulative investments are estimated at $8 billion. If Anthropic achieves its projected $2 trillion valuation, Amazon's stake could be worth over $280 billion, representing approximately 10% of the company.

Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG) is another major investor, owning a 14% stake in Anthropic. This investment is estimated to be worth over $280 billion. Additionally, the report suggests that Anthropic plans to raise billions of dollars to purchase TPU chips from Google, as the company relies on chips from Google and Amazon to train its models.

Microsoft and Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) are also listed as late investors in Anthropic and are expected to benefit from the IPO. Other companies identified as potential beneficiaries include Salesforce (NYSE: CRM), Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO), and Zoom Communications (NASDAQ: ZM).
