Alpha Pro Tech, Ltd. has announced a change in its independent registered public accounting firm. The company’s Audit Committee dismissed Tanner LLP, effective immediately on September 14, 2026.
The filing states that Tanner’s reports on the company’s consolidated financial statements for the fiscal years ended December 31, 2024 and December 31, 2025 did not contain an adverse opinion or a disclaimer of opinion. Additionally, the reports were not qualified or modified regarding uncertainty, audit scope, or accounting principles.
The company also disclosed that there were no disagreements between Alpha Pro Tech and Tanner during the fiscal years 2024 and 2025, or the subsequent interim period through September 14, 2026, that would have required Tanner to make reference to such matters in its reports.
On the same date, the Audit Committee approved the engagement of MNP LLP as the new independent registered public accounting firm. MNP will serve for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026.
The company confirmed that neither it nor anyone acting on its behalf consulted MNP regarding accounting principles or audit opinions during the period prior to the engagement.
Attached to the filing as Exhibit 16.1 is a letter from Tanner LLP dated September 16, 2026, in which the firm agrees with the disclosures made by Alpha Pro Tech regarding the dismissal.
