Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc. (AITX) announced on September 23, 2026, that its subsidiary, Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc. (RAD), has received a third order from a recently signed national dealer. The order consists of two RIO Mini systems and one AVA unit, intended to support safety and security operations for a major construction equipment company located in North Carolina.
This latest order, announced approximately seven weeks after the dealer’s first order, expands the relationship’s product mix to include four RAD solutions: RIO 360, ROSA, RIO Mini, and AVA. The dealer’s first order, announced on August 5, 2026, was for a RIO 360 unit destined for a Fortune 500 specialty contracting and facilities services company. A second order announced on August 12 added three ROSA units for a property operated by a publicly traded real estate investment trust.
The newly ordered RIO Mini and AVA units are designed to address specific security needs at the construction equipment site. RAD describes AVA as a solution that verifies credentials and vehicle access at entry points, flags unauthorized access, and detects tailgating. The two RIO Mini units are described as compact, solar-powered security towers that can extend coverage to equipment yards and parking areas where permanent infrastructure may be unavailable.
According to the filing, each RIO Mini combines two ROSA heads. ROSA is a self-contained security and communication solution capable of AI-driven human, firearm, and vehicle detection, license plate recognition, audio messaging, two-way communication, and live video. RAD has published seven case studies detailing the use of ROSA in various settings, including construction sites, mobile home parks, retail centers, hospital campuses, and multi-family communities.
The press release notes that RAD solutions are designed to deliver cost savings of between 35% and 80% compared to traditional manned security and monitoring. The company states that its technologies are developed in-house and integrate with leading industry platforms, including Immix. AITX also highlighted that its operations and internal controls have been validated through a successful SOC 2 Type 2 audit.
