Agilent Technologies, Inc. announced significant changes to its board of directors on September 8, 2026. The company confirmed that Boon Hwee Koh, who had served as the independent chair of the board since 2017, retired from the board effective September 4, 2026. Koh joined Agilent’s board in 2003 and was credited with providing extensive international leadership and governance experience, particularly regarding the Asia-Pacific region.
In a related move, the board appointed Dow R. Wilson as the new chair of the board, effective September 4, 2026. Wilson has been a member of Agilent’s board since 2018 and currently chairs the Audit and Finance Committee. The company stated that Wilson’s leadership experience and governance expertise were intended to support a seamless transition and continued oversight of the company’s long-term strategy.
Additionally, Agilent announced the appointment of Glenn Boehnlein to its board of directors, effective September 4, 2026. Boehnlein, age 64, previously served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Stryker Corporation from 2016 to 2025. During his tenure at Stryker, he held senior finance leadership roles in the company’s MedSurg and Neurotechnology Group and Global Endoscopy Division. The board appointed Boehnlein to the Audit and Finance Committee and the Compensation Committee. He currently serves on the boards of Inogen, Inc., where he chairs the Audit Committee, and Sutter Health.
Agilent reported that Boehnlein meets the independence standards required by the New York Stock Exchange and is defined as an “audit committee financial expert.” The company noted that Boehnlein will receive standard compensation for non-employee directors, with a portion pro-rated to reflect his service time in the fiscal year. Agilent generated revenue of $6.95 billion in fiscal year 2025 and employs approximately 18,000 people worldwide.
