ACNB Corporation, the financial holding company for ACNB Bank and ACNB Insurance Services, Inc., reported record financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2026. The company announced net income of $15.7 million, or $1.55 diluted earnings per share, for the third quarter of 2026. This figure represents an increase from net income of $15.2 million, or $1.49 per share, for the prior quarter and $14.9 million, or $1.42 per share, for the same period in 2025.

The company highlighted several key metrics for the quarter. Return on average assets was 1.87%, while return on average equity was 14.67%. The fully taxable equivalent net interest margin remained stable at 4.56% compared to the prior quarter, though it increased by 29 basis points compared to the same period in 2025. Total noninterest-bearing deposits were $612.6 million, an increase of 2.0% from the previous quarter, equating to an annualized growth rate of 8.17%. The tangible common equity to tangible assets ratio was 10.47%.

ACNB repurchased 11,288 shares of common stock during the quarter at a weighted average price of $65.01 per share. The company also paid a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.42, an increase of $0.08, or 23.5%, over the dividend paid in the third quarter of 2025. Net interest income for the quarter totaled $34.8 million, an increase of $773,000 from the prior quarter and $2.6 million from the prior year.

Regarding asset quality, total loans increased by $8.4 million from the previous quarter. This growth was driven primarily by a $13.3 million increase in the real estate construction portfolio and a $3.1 million increase in residential mortgages. However, the commercial real estate portfolio declined by $8.6 million, largely due to a decrease in non-owner occupied balances. The company noted that while it experienced an isolated credit issue during the quarter, overall credit metrics remain sound.
